W skrócie o zasadach i przebiegu konkursu:
I etap: Przygotowanie i nadsyłanie pomysłów: 11 grudnia 2009 r. – 1 lutego 2010 r.
Konkurs startuje 11 grudnia. Ostateczny termin nadsyłania zgłoszeń na recyklingowy, modowy projekt mija 1 lutego 2010 r. Wymyśl ubranie, dodatek lub biżuterię, które można stworzyć z przedmiotów, materiałów, które są niepotrzebne, zepsute i powinny trafić do śmieci. Staraj się nie kupować nowych rzeczy, korzystając z tego, co masz pod ręką. Kieruj się prostotą pomysłu, ale i pomysłowością, wygodą oraz materiałami, które możesz wykorzystać.
Zrób wyraźne zdjęcie produktów, elementów, z których stworzysz daną rzecz, sfotografuj poszczególne etapy tworzenia swojego projekt oraz finalny projekt. Zdjęcie gotowego projektu może przedstawiać Ciebie i projekt lub sam projekt – jak wolisz.
Uzupełnij formularz zgłoszeniowy do konkursu, w którym m.in. szczegółowo wymienisz wykorzystane materiały, potrzebne do stworzenia projektu, oraz opiszesz w jaki sposób został on zrobiony.
Zdjęcia oraz formularz prześlij mailem na adres redakcja(at)ecotopia.pl, z dopiskiem w temacie „Śmieć-Deaktywacja” (zwróć uwagę, aby wielkość maila nie przekraczała 6 MB) lub tradycyjną pocztą.
Możesz przeslać dowolną liczbę projektów. Pamiętaj tylko o wysłaniu osobnych formularzy do każdego ze zgłaszanych projektów.
II etap Ogłoszenie półfinalistów: 15 lutego
Z nadesłanych zgłoszeń 15 lutego zostaną wybrani półfinaliści, których projekty znajdą się w pokonkursowej publikacji, „Trashbook”, oraz będą mieli szansę na otrzymanie nagrody w finale konkursu. Poinformujemy Cię mailem o Twojej obecności w półfinale.
III etap Ogłoszenie zwycięzców: 1 marca
Z półfinalistów zostaną wyłonieni 3 zwycięzcy, po jednym z każdej kategorii, którzy otrzymają nagrody rzeczowe. O zwycięstwie w konkursie poinformujemy mailowo lub telefonicznie laureatów.
IV etap Publikacja „Trashbook`a”: 25 marca
25 marca pojawi się „Trashbook”, publikacja online, która będzie zawierać wszystkie, półfinałowe projekty, oraz informacje na temat idei trashion w Polsce i na świecie. „Trashbook” będzie źródłem inspiracji dla wszystkich miłośników recyklingowej idei DIY.
Szczegóły konkursu, ważne informacje na temat zgłoszeń oraz kwalifikacji prac, znajdziesz w regulaminie konkursu. Koniecznie się z nim zapoznaj. W razie dodatkowych pytań służymy pomocą. Możesz również zadać pytanie na konkursowym forum.

An outline of principles, regulations and in the course of Contest:
The first stage: Preparation and submission of ideas: 11 December 2009 -1 February 2010
The Contest starts on the 11th of December. The deadline for submission of projects relative to recycling and fashion is set to the 1st of February 2010. Create a new cloth, accessory or jewellery, which can be manufactured from items, things, materials which are not needed any more, redundant or broken and should be thrown away as thrash. Please, try not to buy new things - try to use only what you have available at hand. Strive to maintain simplicity in your project, but do not forget about the resourcefulness, comfort and materials which are available for your use.
Take sharp photographs of products, elements which you will use to manufacture of the given thing; the photograph also individual stages of manufacturing of your project and the final project product. The photo of the final project product can show you and the project or only the project itself - it is up to you.
Fill in the Contest submission form, in which, among the others, you will have to provide detailed information about the materials used, which are necessary to manufacture the project product, and describe the way it was manufactured.
Photographs and a filled in submission form can be sent and the Organizer via e-mail to redakcja(at)ecotopia.pl with the following text in the title "Trash-Deactivation" ( please make sure that the e-mail size does not exceed 6 MB) or via regular a regular postal service.
You are allowed to submit any number of projects. please, remember in such a case to submit separate submission forms for each other submitted projects.
The second stage: publication of semi-finalists: the 15th of February
From among all this submitted projects, on the 15th of February, semi-finalists will be selected, the project of which will be included in the post-contest publication entitled "Trashbook", and will additionally have a chance to receive prizes in the Contest finals. We will inform you via e-mail about your participation in the semi-finals.
The third stage: Announcing winners: the 1st of March
From among all the semi-finalists, three winning projects will be selected, one in each category, each of which will be attributed prizes. All winners will be notified about they are prizes via e-mail or telephone.
The fourth stage: publication of "Trashbook": the 25th of March
On the 25th of March, "Trashbook" will become available - it is an online publication, which will contain all semi-final projects as well as information about the concept of trashion in Poland and around the world. "Trashbook" will constitute a source of inspiration for all fans of the concept of recycling DIY.
